Ariel (Jedi)

Okay, for the 25th anniversary of The Little Mermaid, I figured I might get some old TLM drawings dating as far back as Middle School uploaded. This is the first one. As the title implies, although inaccurately, Ariel's garb is supposed to be based on the Jedi Knights from the Star Wars saga. She's technically supposed to be a Misty Knight, though (The Misty race were supposed to be derived from Misty from Pokémon). It was planned for a Kim Possible movie I had in mind, with Gill as being the main villain, and she was one of the major characters.

I made this around the time of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl's release in Japan, meaning about 8th grade, maybe 9th.

*Originally, I listed Ursula as being a rumored aunt of Ariel, in reference to how in some sources Ursula was indeed her aunt, but I decided to drop her because Return to the Sea basically nullified that by not only introducing Morgana, but also revealing that Ursula's mom is of the same race as her.
**Originally, I also listed Ariel as being aligned to democracy, but I decided against it now, thanks largely to how democracy ruined peoples lives since the French Revolution. Also had her dedicated to Christianity largely due to her voice actor and the implication that she converted to Catholicism in the ending of the film, but was not on the original sheet.
***Aura Storm was not actually part of the original list. I added it in after playing Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and noted that Lucario used it and it resembled the Kamehameha from DBZ. I also gave her Aura abilities and a super transformation in addition to PSI thanks largely to incorporating elements of DBZ into her.

Depending on how things go for today (I have to worry about a download dad has to do at some time today, plus watching Gotham, Scorpion, and NCIS LA at 8, 9, and 10, respectively), this may either be the only one or just one of several.

As far as the power repretoir, let's just say that she trained herself extensively for those years (merpeople have a long lifespan) to defend Pokeria from various threats, and eventually to stop Vanessa the Dark if she returns.

EDIT: I want to add an addendum noting that while Ariel is based on the Jedi, that DOESN'T mean she IS a Jedi Knight, just that they were a template in the drawing. Only titled it "Ariel (Jedi)" because I wasn't sure what else to title it as (obviously, I couldn't simply title it "Ariel (Sith)", since she's clearly not that.).
